What Kind of art do I like to make?
It's hard to say exactly what kind of art I like to make. Material wise, I like to use digital. Digital art has my heart because I am so used to it. It's also fun to experiment with digital art tools to see what kinds of effects you can achieve. Subject wise, I like to explore a variety of topics. My obvious favorite thing to draw is people and humanoid creatures! I am big into making characters; each with their own complex stories. Other than just enjoying drawing people, I enjoy adding a touch of spookiness to a lot of my drawings. Monsters, creepy faces, monsters with creepy faces... I love it all!
My Inspiration
My artwork is inspired by a lot of things. Other artists, comics, and movies! Dnd inspires me to draw in a way. After almost every session, I have to urge to draw everything that happened that session. Horror movies also inspire what I draw and how I draw it. A lot of the knowledge that I have on spooky art is taken from what I found scary from horror movies that I watch.
My Artwork and Me
Like many other artists, my identity and lived experiences influence my art. As a sapphic person I make most of my characters sapphic or queer in some way. There is little representation in popular media pertaining to sapphic people, so I make my own. I also often reflect little bits of my personality or experiences onto my characters. If I'm not adding bits of my self into a character, then I'm thinking of other types of people and how their personality varies from mine. In that way, I think that my art and character creation process helps me to understand others more.
